The world's climate scientists tell us that
the world as we know it is under threat.
The businesses we conduct add to this
threat daily. The scientists tell us that the
time to act is now.

You can make a difference. You can help in
the preservation of the planet as we know it.
You can help preserve the remaining intact
forests and ecosystems of the world.

Take a leadership position on the env-
ironment. Then you can tell your clients,
your staff and the rest of the world that
your companies' brand is working to
make a difference.

Don't be distracted by the political debate.
Climate change is real and the world's future
depends on what we do now. It may seem
abstract, but the purchase of carbon credits
can have real and profound effects on the
preservation of ecosystems.

Purchasing carbon credits will mean a forest
is preserved; that the lungs of the world will
continue to breathe.

Trees are one of our most efficient carbon
capture and storage systems. They breathe
in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen,
locking the carbon into their roots, trunk,
branches, leaves and their soil.

They are so effective that about 20% of the
carbon emissions entering the atmosphere
are due to forests being cut down and
burnt i.e. deforestation.

REDD stands for Reducing Emissions from
Deforestation and forest Degradation.

REDD is based on a core idea: reward
individuals, communities, projects and
countries that reduce greenhouse gas
(GHG) emissions from forests

REDD pays developing countries that reduce deforestation and degradation.

REDD has the potential to deliver large cuts
in emissions at a low cost within a short time
frame, and, at the same time, contribute to
reducing poverty and sustainable development.

REDD Credits is recognised as a sustainable solution.

REDD is the process for setting up a formal
trading scheme aimed at counteracting the
effects of deforestation.

If we are really serious about combating
climate change and reducing emissions from
deforestation in developing countries, then
REDD is a forward-thinking process.

This is where VOLUNTARY CREDITS steps
in. Companies can now offset their carbon-
emitting activities by buying credits in
recognised avoided deforestation projects.

Rainforest

Bruce Rowntree of The Succulent Group
took the initiative to purchase REDD credits
in accordance with recognised international
standards, saving rainforests in Vietnam from
deforestation and degradation.

Purchasing REDD credits through Voluntary
Credits
effectively means rainforests in
Vietnam are being saved, businesses are
going "green" and there are huge gains for
the climate, for biodiversity and for sus-
tainable development.

Your decision to purchase REDD credits
has provided Vietnam with the potential to
alleviate poverty, protect human rights,
improve governance, conserve biodiversity
and provide other environmental co-benefits,
as well as reduce green house gas emissions.
